Singer, educator. She graduated with honors from the of Academy of Music in Poznań, Faculty of Vocal and Acting . Since 2006 she is a lecturer at the Vocal Department of the same university.

She perfected her vocal abilities under the eye of Ryszard Karczykowski, Poppy Holden, Jadwiga Rappe, Christiane Hampe and Helena Łazarska.

In 2005, at the invitation of the Komische Oper in Berlin, she played a role of Donna Anna in the Mozart opera Don Giovanni.

The artist has been performing for many years in Poland, in the most important cultural centers and participates in a large number of national festivals, symphonic and chamber concerts, while not shuns from appearances in small towns. The number of her performances coming up to the sum of 1000. In 2015, she sang at Carnegie Hall with SKOWRONKI Girls’ Choir.

She has a huge and very diverse repertoire, ranging from baroque to contemporary music. She prefers, however, Early Music.

The range of repertoire of Marzena Michałowska is one of the reasons, for which eminent conductors, such as: Kirill Petrenko, Marek Pijarowski, Grzegorz Nowak, Tadeusz Wojciechowski, Łukasz Borowicz, Jerzy Salwarowski, Marcin Nałęcz-Niesiołowski, José Maria Florenzio Junior, Marek Toporowski, Stefan Stuligrosz, Marcin Sompoliński, Jaroslaw Lipke, Eugeniusz Kus, want to work with her.

She has performed with the following orchestras: Concerto Köln, Czech Virtuosi Orchestra, Poznań Philharmonic, the Lublin Philharmonic, Kalisz Philharmonic, the Baltic Philharmonic Orchestra, Philharmonic of Warmia and Mazury, the Szczecin Philharmonic, the Philharmonic of Zielona Góra, Polish Radio Orchestra, Polish Radio Chamber Orchestra Amadeus, Wrocław Baroque Orchestra of Wrocław Philharmonic, Capella Cracoviensis and orchestra Accademia dell ‘Arcadia.

Marzena Michałowska is the winner of the Second Prize (first not awarded) and Special Prize for the best performance of J.S. Bach aria in the National Vocal Competition in Duszniki (2002). She also received a Distinction and Special Prize for the best performance of Karol Szymanowski’s songs during the National Competition of Polish Artistic Song in Warsaw (2003). In May 2006, she won the third prize at the International Vocal Competition in Vrable (Slovakia).

She has recorded 14 albums, including recordings for Polish Radio. In 2008, the album “Musica Sacromontana” with her participation received a statuette of Frederick – the prestigious award of Polish phonographic industry.

For many years she teaches classes and courses for choirs. From 2012, she takes vocal care of SKOWRONKI Girls’ Choir led by Alice Szeluga.
