She graduated of the Poznań Academy of Music majoring in Percussion.

From the very beginning of her artistic activity she was tied to the rock music. At the festival “Prince Rock Festival Węgorzewo ’97” received the award for “Greatest individuality of the festival.” She has cooperated with bands Sweet Noise, 2 Tm 2.3 and Armia. With Armia she performed concerts in New York and New Jersey in 1998.

In September 1998 Polish music star Maryla Rodowicz invited Beata to record some songs for the album “Przed zakrętem”. In March 1999 Armia has released 2 reissued albums “Triodante” and “Antiarmia” where Beata also has her share.

In May of 2000 she played on tour with the band Arka Noego in the United States and also many concerts in Poland. In the same year she recorded with the band 2 Tm 2.3 album “Pascha” and with the band Armia two-disc live album “Soul Side Story”. In 2003 also with Armia she recorded album “Pocałunek Mongolskiego Księcia”. In 2007 Beata has recorded a solo album of Thomas Budzynski “Luna” and the acoustic album “Dementi” with band 2 Tm 2.3.

In the meantime, she starts cooperation with Poznań girls’ choir SKOWRONKI under the direction of Alicja Szeluga, which can boast of its 65-year existence, and winning the Grand Prix and many first places in a number of International Choral Competitions.

In 2011 – after 20 years there was a reunion of Wolf Spider – legend of Polish metal scene where Beata playing drums untill now.

Beata Polak beside active presence on the Polish rock scene, from 16 years taught classical percussion at the Music School.

Since 2000, Beata Polak is an official endorser of worldwide percussion companies PAISTE and PEARL, and since 2012 – the company PRO MARK.
