In the Skowronki choir sing girls aged 14 to 21 years. Musical education is based on a variety of pieces. The girls sing Gregorian chants, Renaissance madrigals, motets, romantic works and music of the twentieth and twenty-first century. The priority in the work with the ensemble is to care about the artistic quality of performed music. Proper intonation and timbre, an interpretation consistent with the style of the work are the basic elements of Skowronki’s beautiful music. Also extremely important is the joy and naturalness in behavior on the stage which emanate from girls while singing. During the rehearsals girls are also learning how to read music sheets by voice (solfeggio), have group voice lessons and classes of stage movement.

The choir participates in the musical life of Poznań, often takes part in workshops and reviews. Verifies its skills during competitions and festivals. Invites choirs from other Poland cities and abroad, is good friends with many of them. Longer tours are usually held during the summer holidays.

Choir rehearsals are held three times a week:
Monday 5.00 – 7.00 p.m. / voice rehearsals
Wednesday 6.00 – 8.00 p.m.
Saturday 10 a.m. – 12.30 p.m.

In the frames of activities, in addition to regular participation in rehearsals, girls take part in all the concerts of the choir.
